Dear Members,
It's that time of the term again!

Our end of term blowout will combine a talk with a night out, bridged by a post-talk pre-party in the Senior Common Room!

Please feel free to attend all or part of the evening - either way we promise a good time!

Details on the talk
Time: 18.30-19.30 (reception 19.30-21.00)Venues: presentation in H216, reception in the Senior Common Room, Old BuildingTopic: "Flexicurity: A secret formula?" The talk will be on the Danish model of flexicurity, mainly that it is relatively complex and among other things requires an active labour market policy as well as trust in both politicians and the social partners; whether the model can survive globalisation and a financial crisis; and if it is relevant for other countries.Format: The event will open with a brief introduction by the chair followed by a presentation of 15-20 mins. Thereafter there will be questions for the speaker and we will end the evening with some drinks and snacks in the SCR in the Old Building.Presenters: Mr Claus Hjort Frederiksen, Minister of Employment in the Danish Government . Part of the Danish delegation will also be: Mr. Bo Smith, Permanent Secretary ; Mr. Søren Møller Andersen, Head of Press and Personal Adviser ; Mr. René Andreasen, Personal Secretary to the Minister and Mr. Kim Taasby, Special AdviserChair: Dr Marco Simoni from the European Institute at the LSE with academic expertise in European Political Economy. Dr Simoni was also co-author of one of the first international publications on flexicurity: Decent work in Denmark. Employment, social efficiency and economic security

Thank you

Dear All,
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for a great time this past Tuesday!
The party was a great success in our eyes, and we hope you had as much fun as we did!
